|  A housing development is planned for the north end of Conger Heights ridge, in the area known as Linkriver Estates. Due to the economic slowdown, there is an opportunity to change the course of this project, and protect the Link River Canyon bluffs from the encroachment of houses. Views along the Link River Trail would change dramatically if a proposed subdivision is allowed to proceed along the north end of Conger Heights. “One of the most treasured spots in the entire community would be forever spoiled if the Link River Estates project goes forward,” said Eric Nelson, chairman of an ad hoc committee being formed under the auspices of the nonprofit Klamath Greenways Foundation. “If we can find a way to set this land aside, generations of future Klamath Falls residents will be grateful.”
